2023 Christmas Ornaments

Happy Holidays!

If you’ve been here awhile you might remember that Dave and I celebrate the season by making each other an ornament (in secret) and gifting them on Christmas morning.

Here is what Dave made me this year. He’s been getting back into woodworking, and I knew he was making his ornament of wood, but had no idea he’d make this. This is Georgie! So cute!!

I’ve been working with denim for the last month and have been having fun (and some frustration which I’ll tell you about in another post) so I thought I’d make my ornament this year with that recycled fabric. This denim is from my friend,ย  Barbara Christmas’ husband’s jeans. I used it also to make that fabric book last month. It was fitting that I made something to celebrate Christmas with Charlie Christmas’ jeans.

We also make each other a card to go with our ornament. Here is mine with the ornament.

Dave found this little book I made in his stash and pulled it out this morning. I don’t remember making this but evidently I did after our first Christmas. That was before I got involved with fabric! It was so sweet looking through it. The picture on the cover is the first ornament he made that started this whole tradition. The book only contains four pictures and the one on the cover but still so sweet.

Thank you for dropping by and following my journey. Hope your holiday is filled with peace and joy.
